Red-dy For a Studded Vortex?

Lisa says…

I’ve been taking a class that meets after work three nights a week, 5:45 to 10:00, and again on Saturdays, 8:45 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Then there’s the homework and preparing for exams.  I’m actually having a blast but this kind of schedule can be grueling, so I try to stay focused and “in the vortex” by supplementing study with punchy manis and restful sleep.

FYI, “try” is the operative word insofar as that restful sleep is concerned.

But the punchy mani?  No problemo.  I’ve got that one covered…

Here we have Haute Red, a reliable Orly cherry creme 2-coater.

And the vortex? Well, actually, we’ve got two:  one on the ring finger, and another on the thumb.

They’ve been fashioned with a 2-coat base of My Boyfriend Scales Walls (a fabulous bisque OPI creme from the brand’s 2012 Spiderman Collection) and then stamped up black with the help of some Winstonia image plates.

And black studs.   Because everyone knows that a studded vortex is a less likely to induce sleep than a non-studded vortex.  I mean, it’s a scientific fact.  Not really.

Me thinks it’s time I escort my REM-deprived self to bed.

As soon as the top coat dries.

Priorities, after all.

Night! 🙂

Oh Lisa I was wondering where you were! I am glad it’s nothing bad retaining you! 😀 What kind of course are you doing, if that can be known?
Your mani is gorgeous! 😀 Love everything about it, it’s fierce!

Thanks, Amy! By all means, check out Winstonia. Great source for domestic plates at a reasonable price. 🙂

Thanks, Amber! Listen, one day we should Skype and I’ll get you straightened out on the stamping. One you get the feel for it, the technique is a no-fail.
