#TIOT: Twinkle Twinkle Little Star (Colors by Llarowe)!

Liz says…

Happy Tuesday, my darlings! Today I wanted to share my TIOT manicure with you – it’s got some awesome things going for it… Deep, sapphire blue jelly base? Yes! Tiny, silver glitter particles that give a twinkling effect? Yes ma’am! Sexy as heck?! Ooooooh yeah!

That’s right! Today I’m trying out Twinkle Twinkle Little Star from Colors by Llarowe. This beauteous navy jelly is chock full of silver glitter. The overall look is reminiscent of a clear, starlit night sky. Two coats gave me full coverage, but you might want to use a third coat on longer nails to avoid possible visible nail line issues.

It’s been said that this polish is a near dupe for Essie’s Starry Starry Night. Sadly, I do not own Starry Starry Night, having gotten into nail polish hoarding long after it was released. With that in mind, I can’t personally vouch that it’s a dead-on dupe or not… but having looked around online it seems that while Twinkle Twinkle Little Star is verrrrrrrry close, it is not an exact match. Close enough for me?! YES!

Check out that macro shot! I love how Twinkle Twinkle Little Star hits the perfect balance between base polish and glitter – neither is overshadowed by the other, instead they work together to create a polish greater than the sum of their parts. I can’t get over the enormous amount of depth to be found in just two coats!

Let’s wrap things up nice and easy now so that you can get back to your regularly scheduled programming. Colors by Llarowe really knocked it out of the park with Twinkle Twinkle Little Star. I really love how deceptively simple this polish is, and how it is an absolutely perfect blue to head into the Winter months wearing. If you’re dying for your own bottle of Twinkle Twinkle Little Star I suggest that you check out the Llarowe website to see if it’s in stock. I don’t think that you would regret making this pretty polish yours!
