Angles, Dots, and Bling!

Liz says…

I really shouldn’t act surprised anymore when I find myself purchasing the odd bottle of nail polish. It has become a euphoric release each time I add a new bottle to my collection. Lately, however, I have been so swept up in the holidays, work, and naps that I’ve fallen behind in the nail polish world. Somehow I missed the latest Sally Hansen Holiday collection… somehow… somehow I missed the bling!

Thank goodness for Target though, because Sunday night I found a partially stocked display and I greedily threw three of the glitter toppers into my basket. It was love at first sight, and I scurried home to plan out how best to use them! This is what I came up with…

Over a rich, luxurious base of Urban Decay’s Blackheart I used strategically placed tape cut-outs to help lay out some golden angles with Wet ‘n Wild’s Deadly Dose. Inspired by the gold and lavender hex glitters in Twinkle Toes-ty (one of the Sally Hansen Holiday glitters I snagged), I also used OPI’s You’re Such A Budapest and one of my handy dotting tools to add some dotted details. Accents of Twinkle Toes-ty helps to elevate the look (IMHO) to new levels through the magic of bling!

Sealed up with my go-to top coat (Clearly On Top by KBShimmer) I’m ready for action… as long as that action is nail polish related…

Am I seeing things, or is it snowing on your blog?? UGH, we are having a huge storm right now. lol

Yay! Thanks, Amber! Blackheart is super gorgeous in general – I’ve worn it three times in the past two weeks… which is saying something the way I go through colors. lol

PS – I had the same reaction when I first saw the snow! It’s super festive and seasonal, so if it weren’t for the huge snow storm I would be digging it… though it makes me wonder what kinds of tricks mom will pull out for the other seasons!

I’d love you to do nail art on my nails too. Laura and I will fight over you.

Laura and Marcia, no need to fight!!! I vote that we have an epic makeup/lady spa day. I’ll do nail art, you two can help me figure out how to actually wear makeup. LOLOL
