Perfect Polish Pairings – Fire Queen and Stroke of Brilliance!

Liz says…

Hello, Darlings! Today I’m sporting some major lobster hands, but let me tell you… it’s totally worth it! On my nails I’m pairing Rescue Beauty Lounge‘s Fire Queen along with Essie‘s Stroke of Brilliance… and I love them together. LOVE!

Darlings… I can barely type right now. I adore this combo! Three thin coats of Fire Queen gives me full coverage that beautifully levels itself over the nail. Normally I wouldn’t be singing the praises of a three coater, but I’ll make an exception since Fire Queen is a jelly and well executed jelly polishes always curry special favor in my book.

One heavy coat of Stroke of Brilliance gives even glitter distribution without having to rely on dabbing the glitter around. This periwinkle topper is insane, and I’ve been experimenting wearing it over all different base colors since I bought this beauty last year. It seems to play well with every color I’ve worn it over so far, but this is my favorite combo to date!

Against Fire Queen, with its lovely antiqued green glassware vibes, Stroke of Brilliance lends this manicure an air of delicate beauty. Reminiscent of a fairy’s wings and the softness of a garden lush with Lamb’s Ear and Lavender, this is loveliness embodied in a manicure.

Though I am prone to over-exaggeration, I think that it’s fair to say that Fire Queen and Stroke of Brilliance are two polishes that are MEANT to be worn together. As Winter rages on, this manicure has me basking in the beauty of Spring gardens and delicate things…

Oh, Renu! I SO recommend Stroke of Brilliance! It’s funny because Essie’s website describes it as a “platinum spark” color, but all I see is a delicate periwinkle blue. Whatever the shade it, it’s FAB!

I love that combination yet I never would have thought of it.

Thanks Marcia! It started off as a fun and quirky combination in my head, but on the nail it evolved into ethereal beauty (IMHO). I’m glad you love it too, I’m actually kind of obsessed with it. 🙂
