Hello, Darlings. Today is my birthday and I really wanted to do something nice for today’s manicure! I was having a difficult time figured out exactly what to do… until my February Ipsy bag came along. This month I received Odette, which Zoya describes as a “sultry orchid maroon cream.” That’s a pretty sexy description for a purple polish, so of COURSE I was sold.
Putting one of the MoYou – London stamping plates that I received for my birthday to good use, I used Color Club’s Miss Bliss to stamp some Gustav Klimt inspired designs. Oh, can you hear my swooning? I apologize because it’s really loud… I just can’t help it!
I love how Miss Bliss stands against Odette, the pink really holds its own and elevates a beautiful, neutral purple manicure into something fit for a princess. I just love it so much, but then I get carried away because Gustav Klimt is probably my favorite artist, and I cannot believe that MoYou made not one but TWO stamping plates that are deeply inspired by his works. Swoon!
Because beautiful creams, amazing holos, and artsy stamping plates are not enough I pulled out one of my untried indies – Clairvoyant Visitor from the Nail Pattern Boldness A Parliament Of Magpies collection. This textured polish is chock full of grey, pink, and purple glitters. One thin coat of Clairvoyant Visitor over Odette gave me full coverage and wow! It plays so well with the rest of the manicure! I decided to use a heavy hand with my top coat to give this textured polish a glossy finish.
This manicure embodies so much of what I hope the next year of my life will bring. Flair, fun, and color as I embrace new techniques, people, and things! On that uplifting note, I’m off to celebrate! Let me know what you think of this very purple manicure and have a fabulous day. 😀
